A listener wrote in with this dilemma:
“My husband and I have a little boy who just started school for the first time. I don’t work so I pack lunches for my son and husband which I don’t mind but now my husband is turning his nose up at the lunches I make him. First it was no carbs, more protein. Then it was no sandwiches or pasta leftovers. If I don’t follow all of his dietary rules he will go eat at a fast food restaurant and he’s not frugal about it. Kind of hypocritical to be so fussy about his lunch and then break all the rules at the restaurant.
I may not work outside the home but I do lead a busy life and I just can’t be making two different lunches every day for both my husband and my son. How do I get my husband to ease up on all the dietary restrictions so we can go back to the same lunch for both?
