Inverness MLA Allan MacMaster issued a statement regarding a proposed golf course planned by Cabot Cape Breton in West Mabou Beach Provincial Park. MacMaster would not say whether he is in favour or opposed to the project. “This issue is a very divisive issue.” stated MacMaster. “Until it becomes a matter for the government, until the government makes a decision it would be inappropriate for me to start commenting.
The golf course project has been opposed by environmental l groups like the Ecology Acton Centre. They don’t believe infrastructure like this should be built in areas that are designed to protect the environment and animal habitats.
