196-kilometres. (That’s the equivalent of nearly four marathons).
That’s how many kms Landyn Toney walked to raise awareness about Canada’s residential schools and to remember the victims and survivors.
With the support of the Country, the 12-year-old Indigenous boy started walking from Bible Hill, N.S., to his home on Annapolis Valley First Nation six days ago.
He wrapped up his Journey yesterday evening!
In that time and as of 9am Wednesday morning, he has raised over $34,000 and that number continues to grow.
