Axe Throwing World Championships Begin Today In Barrington

The best axe-throwers in the world are at Sandy Wickens Memorial Arena today through Sunday.

They’ve travelled to Barrington for the World Axe-Throwing Championships.

At least ten nations are being represented, with a strong Canadian contingent ready to win a world title.

Qualifers, opening ceremonies and men’s and women’s team finals are slated for today.

Tomorrow, the men’s and women’s singles events will happen, with the top 30 in each division advancing to Sunday’s finals.

TSN is taping the event for broadcast this fall.
