Bedford Superstore Evacuated After Employee Tests Positive for COVID-19

Customers at the Bedford Superstore were told to leave their groceries and evacuate the building immediatly.

The PA announcement made no mention of COVID-19 but in an emailed statement, Mark Boudreau, director of corporate affairs for Loblaw Atlantic, confirmed an employee had tested positive.

“The store has been closed for a thorough cleaning, and is expected to reopen tomorrow,” Boudreau said.

Boudreau said people who worked closely with the employee are at home in self-isolation and are monitoring symptoms.
