Big jump in gas prices in N.S.

Long line-ups formed at gas stations ahead of a significant price increase at the pumps.

Regular gasoline went up nearly 10 cents a litre at midnight in Nova Scotia.

That puts the price of self-serve regular to a minimum of $1.85 on Friday.

However, diesel dropped 3 cents to nearly $1.87.
