Birth Control Pill Mirvala Recalled

One batch of the birth control pill Mirvala 28 recalled because of blister package errors.

The Government of Canada is recalling one batch of the birth control after a placebo pill (green pill) is in place of an active birth control pill (white).

This is a concern as the placebo pill has no active hormones to help protect against pregnancy and increases risk of a pregnancy because the pill does not contain any active hormone. It may also cause side effects, including spotting and irregular bleeding.
