I’m hoping by now you have seen the many profile pictures and Instagram posts where people have posted a black picture.
Before I go social media silent today, I felt I should share how you can help with the Black Lives Matter movement.
So many innocent lives have been taken and people can not sit back and do nothing. #BlackOutTuesday and #TheShowMustBePaused is a movement in response to George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and the many other senseless murders of black individuals, many by the hands of police.
The Show Must Be Paused is an initiative created by Jamila Thomas and Brianna Agyemang. It asks people and the music industry to pause promotions for 24 hours. They ask that we reflect and talk about what actions we can make that collectively support the Black community.
