A Blockhouse man accused of second-degree murder, in connection with human remains that were found in Parkdale, near New Ross on July 26 made his first court appearance on Friday.
Arthur Mosher was arrested Thursday afternoon, a few hours after RCMP issued a province wide arrest warrant.
His appearance in front of Justice Paul Scoville was brief and Mosher was not asked to speak, instead his Crown-appointed council represented Mosher.
A future court date was set by Justice Paul Scoville for September 18, while Mosher looked on clad in pants and a shirt that were both camouflaged.
Justice Scoville also listed off the names of a dozen individuals Mosher will be prohibited from contacting while in custody, whose names are protected by a publication ban.
Following those matters, Justice Scoville ordered Mosher will remain in the custody of the Sheriff’s Office until his next court apperance.
RCMP has not yet identified the name of the victim Mosher is accused of murdering.
