If you happen to be heading to Liverpool for Privateer Days this weekend, maybe take a few minutes to wander through Pine Grove Park in Milton. The cool spring has delayed the blooms on the rhododendrons a bit this year, so they seem to be just about hitting their peak.
I will admit to being a rhododendron fan. I have a bunch of them around my place, but no where near what they have in Pine Grove. Plus the fact that a lot of these in the park are well over twenty feet tall, it’s pretty impressive. Although you may want to throw on some bug spray. But it’s worth the walk.
