BPS Investigate Suspicious Fire

The Bridgewater Police Service says a fire this morning on King Street is being deemed suspicious.

Police were first called to 613 King Street around 2:00 a.m., upon arrival they noticed a unit of the apartment building was on fire.

The Bridgewater Fire Department quickly extinguished the fire but the apartment still sustained smoke and fire damage.

No one was injured in the fire as the apartment was vacant at the time of the fire.

As of this afternoon, the cause of the fire is still unknown and the release issued by police indicated they believe it is suspicious.
