BPS Seeking Driver Who Fled Accident Causing $20K in Damage

The Bridgewater Police Service is seeking help from the public in locating a driver who failed to remain at the scene of an accident.

The incident took place in downtown Bridgewater the night of December 3, shortly before midnight when police say a Dodge Ram was traveling northbound on King Street then while turning onto Dufferin Street it struck a utility poll.

The poll was snapped from the collision and many of its power lines fell, causing outages in the surrounding area. It is estimated the damage caused will cost between $15,000-$20,000.

The driver then fled the scene heading westbound on Dufferin Street.

Anyone with information is asked to conact the Bridgewater Police Service.
