Budget passed as Legislature wraps for Spring

Premier Tim Houston and his Tories wrapped up the spring-sitting of the Nova Scotia Legislature.

MLAs sat for 14 days in total.

A budget of 14.4 billion dollars was passed, it includes payment incentives for nurses and other healthcare workers.

Opposition members were critical of the budget, saying it won’t do anything to help everyday families with the rising cost of living.

Government passed six pieces of legislation during the session.
