I think out weekends are broken. We keep seeing beautiful weather during the week. Weekend’s, not so much.
It’s fishing season. I know people have been getting out. I have seen pictures of some very nice trout being caught. Work tends to get in the way a bit during the week, and the weekends… well, let’s just say I’d like to be a bit on the comfortable side.
So after a week with several very nice days, we get to the weekend and suddenly it’s like… well… April.
It’s not unseasonably bad. We’re not under several feet of snow. And for that I am grateful. But maybe we could get a few of those nice days on the weekend?
Although, looking at the forecast for the first part of next week, it seems like the kind of weather that is more likely to have us searching for the plans for an arc, just in case.
It’s funny in many ways. The weather is never really what we want it to be. If it was, many of us would have nothing to to talk about. So for the time being I’ll keep working on thermal rain gear. It would likely come in very handy for the type of weather we tend to get. The next project might be a heated fishing rod that won’t ice up in the cold. Although I’ll probably forget about both in a couple weeks.
It’s just that frustrating time of year. I want to get out, but standing around in near freezing temperatures just doesn’t seem like a lot of fun. I know it will change. It’s the weather. It always does.
But if we can just fix the weekends.
