Canada Post, CUPW resume negotiations after delay

Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers are returning to the bargaining table today after a delay late last week.

Talks had been scheduled for Friday but were postponed after Canada Post said in a statement it needed more time to review offers from the union. CUPW announced Thursday that the meeting would instead take place Monday.

Canada Post said it remains committed to the collective bargaining process and to reaching an agreement, adding it continues to work with CUPW through federal mediators.

The resumption of talks comes as CUPW continues to press for a new contract covering thousands of postal workers across the country.
