Canada’s Coolest Treasure Hunt – Here’s Your Map to Enter!

This is the first time I’m hearing about it, but apparently it’s been around for a while. It’s called The Great Canadian Treasure Hunt, and it’s organized by The Northern Miner, a journal about mining. The contest is designed to get people interested in Canadian history, the mining industry, and treasure hunting in general. They’ve hidden a chest containing one million dollars in gold coins somewhere in Canada, along with twelve other smaller $25,000 prizes.

All the prize locations are on public property and can be found on foot. So if you’re up for some treasure hunting, check out their website for the opening clue poem and more hints throughout the year.

Read the opening clue below and then click on the picture for more info!
