Canadian Military Dispatched to Assist With Manhunt

Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Bill Blair confirmed in a tweet today that members of the Canadian Armed Forces are now assisting with the search for Tobias Doucette.

The tweet did not mention specifically what resources have been dispatched.

We reached out to Blair’s office for more details but did not immediately receive a response.

In addition to military aid a search and rescue plane has been seen flying around the South Shore to aid in the search.

Tobias Doucette has been charged with attempted murder and assault in connection with a domestic dispute Monday evening that saw one officer stabbed in the neck.
