It’s looking like if you want to travel to certain Countries in the future, you may need a new passport.
Federal Health Minister Patty Hajdu has confirmed that the idea of vaccine passports in Canada is being discussed by the government.
Basically it will be a passport that shows proof that the travelers have had their COVID-19 vaccination. This will allow them to enter certain countries.
This is just something they are discussing right now, but it could be something required in the future.
Right now people coming to Canada need to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test.
