Canadiens Legend Guy Lafleur Dies

Montreal Canadiens legend Guy Lafleur has died at the age of 70.

His sister confirmed his passing in a post on Facebook this morning.

Nicknamed ‘The Flower,’ Lafleur led Montreal to five Stanley Cups in the 70s, and won two league-MVP awards.

He played 17 seasons in the NHL for Montreal, the Rangers and Quebec Nordiques.

He is the all-time leading scorer for the Canadiens, racking up 1,246 points over 14 seasons.

Lafleur was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1988.
