The CAT ferry pulled out of Yarmouth Harbour earlier this morning.
In an email to our newsroom Bay Ferries CEO Mark MacDonald says the vessel is sailing to Bar Harbor.
He says it’s a regulatory procedure as the Cat’s officers familiarize themselves with the operation of vessel in the new port of Bar Harbor.
MacDonald says they also did a similar exercise with both Yarmouth and Portland when ferry service returned in 2016.
He says there is still no word yet on when regular passenger service will resume.
