‘CAT’ passenger bookings up ahead of 2024 season

Bookings are up for the ‘CAT’ to start 2024.

Bay Ferries says over 18,000 passengers have purchased tickets to sail on the Nova Scotia-to-Maine ferry.

That’s a 15 percent increase from this time last year, over 2,400 passengers.

Acting chief executive officer of Bay Ferries Mark Wilson says they’re pleased with the interest in the service, and are optimistic on a strong season.

The company will release a monthly traffic report.

The vessel carried 38,000 passengers last year.

The ‘CAT’ sets sail Friday from Yarmouth to Bar Harbor, Maine to open the 2024 tourism season.
