An early morning fire has left a house completely destroyed in Chester.
Chester Volunteer Fire Department responded to a house fire call on Pig Loop Road around 2:20 a.m. Saturday. Upon arrival, firefighters say the home was fully engulfed in flames.
Everett Hiltz, fire chief for the Chester Volunteer Fire Department, says his team and many other dispatches fought the fire for around seven hours, returning back to the station around 9:30 a.m.
No one was hurt in the fire, but Hiltz says the home is a complete loss. The cause of the fire is still undetermined.
