Christmas movie filming in Mahone Bay

The Town of Mahone Bay is advising residents a Christmas movie will be in town filming on Tuesday (April 30) and Wednesday (May 1).

Film crews have already begun decorating and you can already see some artificial snow along with Christmas decorations around town.

As a result of the filming detours will be set at the Cenotaph which is the main filming location. There will be local traffic-only barricades in 7 separate locations with many detours to guide traffic outside of the filming area around the Cenotaph.

During filming the Town is asking residents to refrain from taking Exit 10 (Mahone Bay) and instead use Exit 11 (Blockhouse/Lunenburg), as Exit 10 leads right to the principal filming location.

Waste collection scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday is also being postponed until next week.
