Christmas Tree Collection To Start Next Week

The Lunenburg Community Recycling Centre (LCRC) will be handling Christmas Tree collection throughout Lunenburg County.

Stephanie Smitts Community Outreach for the LCRC says in order to have your tree collected it needs to have all ornaments removed and if there are snowbanks ensure it is not hidden behind them.

Collection is being split up into three areas, the Municipality, Bridgewater and Mahone Bay.

  • Municipality – January 11-22 on normal collection days
  • Bridgewater – January 11-15 on normal collection days
  • Mahone Bay – January 11 only

To ensure your tree is collected it’s asked that they be put out on the curb no later than 8 a.m. for the towns and 7 a.m. for the rural areas of the municipality.

If you happen to miss those dates trees can also be dropped off at the recycling centre located at 908 Mullock Road, Whynott’s Settlement.
