The former lead singer of Led Zeppelin was serenaded with the unofficial anthem of Halifax.
Wednesday night, Late Show host Stephen Colbert asked Robert Plant about sea shanties, according to a video posted to social media.
In response, the rock star turned to the crowd and asked if they liked sea shanties but answered “no” for the audience.
That is when Colbert broke out into the iconic Stan Rogers song, “Barrett’s Privateers.”
Colbert has also sung the song with other iconic musicians, including Michael Bublé and Jack White.
