Collision on Highway 103, currently closed between Exits 9 and 10

RCMP are reporting a major motor vehicle collision along Highway 103, that has resulted in a portion of the highway being shut down.

The collision is between Exits 9 and 10 near Martins River, and that section of the highway is currently closed as emergency crews respond. RCMP said in a tweet published at 11:37 a.m. that they expect that section of the 103 to remain closed for multiple hours.

Traffic is being rerouted along Highway 3, so it is expected there will be higher volumes of traffic along Highway 3 throughout the afternoon.

Callers to our newsroom have indicated at least one vehicle was on fire, but RCMP has yet to confirm if that is the case.
