Crown prosecutor Roland Levesque spent some time establishing the Collyers as close family friends.

After which, he asked about an incident that took place when the girl was 16.

The girl says she was a passenger in John Collyer’s car as they were driving along a highway.

She testified Collyer asked her if she had ever brought herself to orgasm.

She alleges Collyer then told her to open her legs.

It was then she says Collyer pushed aside her shorts and underwear and inserted his finger into her vagina.

After the alleged incident, the girl says Collyer returned her home but she did not inform anyone what had happened at that time.

The court will hear more from her tomorrow.

Supreme Court Justice Mona Lynch had court staff look into the situation.

They have now set aside five more days between September 9 and 13th to complete the trial.
