In Nova Scotia it will be mandatory to wear a non-medical mask in public indoor spaces on Friday.
While I’ve been happy to wear a mask when shopping or visiting other South Shore businesses I’m hearing a lot of concern from those front line workers in retail who are not looking forward to wearing a mask for 8 hours during a shift. Some have even suggested that they are looking for another job or may retire to get away from having to go through this.
Even though I’m one of those pro-mask people, I completely understand their concerns. I was wearing a mask on one of the hottest days of the year when I was visiting a local garden centre and between the heat and the mask I thought I was going to pass out in the greenhouse.
So what are your thoughts about mandatory mask wearing beginning Friday?
