Curling Pre-Trials playoffs set, Nova Scotia in the mix

The playoff field is set at the Home Hardware Curling Pre-Trials in Liverpool and a Nova Scotia team is in the mix.

Paul Flemming of Halifax pulled off back to back wins yesterday including a 6-3 victory over Colton Flash of Saskatoon.

Flemming will face unbeaten Tanner Horgan of Kingston, Ontario in today’s 1:30 draw.

Other men’s teams still alive include Glenn Howard, Pat Simmons, Tyler Tardi and Jason Gunnlaugson (Gun lug son).

On the women’s side Krista McCarville of Thunder Bay, PEI’s Suzanne Birt, and Sheri Anderson of Saskatchewan have all advanced.

Two playoff draws hit the ice today at Queens Place Emera Centre. Both draws will be televised nationally on TSN.
