Today is the final deadline to apply for financial assistance after the wildfires.
It’s a one-time payment of $500, being distributed by the Canadian Red Cross, to those who were told to evacuate by emergency officials.
Thousands had to evacuate their homes with roughly 200 homes destroyed or damaged last month.
The deadline to apply is 7pm.
