Dear Reader…! Do You Still Send Letters?

When I was a small kid, we lived up north, in the NWT. I’ve mentioned this before and even though this was several years ago I can still remember how special it was to get a letter or postcard from my grandparents. This was in the early 2000s and we didn’t ever have a computer or anything. All our contact with family was done by long distance phone or by mail. I was thinking about the significance of this today because writing letters, at least for me has become a little outdated.

Most of the time I video call or phone or even email my friends or family who live away. I have not sat down and written a letter in a very long time but I kind of want to get back into it. There is something exciting about sending a letter the old fashioned way and waiting for a response. Maybe I’ll have to start up again and send letters just for fun.

Do you still send hand written letters? Who do you send them to? Do you have a pen pal? Let’s talk about it over on our Facebook Page!
