Diabetes Canada Pleads For Drop Offs To Stop

Diabetes Canada announced on March 23 that they would no longer be accepting donations at their collection bins nationwide due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now they are calling on local politicians to help out after they’ve continued to see high volumes of drop-offs.

In an open letter they requested local politicians to make their constituents aware of the service disruption and if necessary fine those who leave items behind during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The diabetes donation bins annually generate $5 million for diabetes research and treatment.
