Drive In Theatres To The Rescue?

During the pandemic the car is a great safety cocoon for us.

The Highland Drive In Theatre in New Glasgow will be opening up next month after being closed down in 2013,

In New Jersey and New York businesses have been taking their empty parking lots and turning them into drive in theatres, parking spots 10 feet apart and sending the sound out over low power FM radio.

And niche artists like Christian singer Toby Mac and others are now planning “drive in tours”. The plan is to charge $100 per carload (maximum 6) to watch the band set up on stage in front of the drive in screen. Or you can pay $175 to get a prestige spot in front of the screen. The canteen and washrooms will be open, but only to people wearing both masks and gloves.

Is this something you would go to?
