Early Dismissals Caused By Power Outages

This morning the South Shore Regional Centre for Education announced that three of their schools had lost power.

The schools are Petite Riviere Elementary, North Queens Community School and Pentz Elementary.

Schools are required to have power when students are present due to safety concerns. The SSRCE says they expect power to be restored by late Friday afternoon.

Students were dismissed at 11:45 a.m.
