Health Foundation of Nova Scotia) are looking for 14 participants
for two free, 6 week Equine Assisted Addiction Recovery (EAAR)
Program sessions. Sessions are designed to help individuals
experiencing addiction by engaging in Equine Assisted Therapy in
addition to individual therapy.
Participants would:
Be age 18+
Be receiving ongoing clinical therapy with a mental health provider
Provide written consent for the EAAR Program to contact their mental
health provider to coordinate mental health care and services
Believe this program will help their recovery
Commit to attending the meetings sober
Attend all meetings
Have no known allergies (horses, dogs, cats, sand, hay, dust, etc.)
Participants may self-refer or be referred by their mental health
provider. Please indicate which of the two program sessions you
wish to attend in your referral email.
