Experience Cape Breton’s culture at Celtic Colours

The Celtic Colours International Festival is about to kick off.

This year’s festival has 51 concerts and more than 200 events happening throughout Cape Breton Island over the next nine days.

The grand opening is on Friday, October 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre.

It features performances by The Barra MacNeils, Flook, David Francey and the MacArthur Dancers.

Other events across the island include local food experiences, arts and crafts displays, and outdoor activities.

Gaelic singing, fiddling, bagpiping, and dancing will be featured at world-class concerts and performances.

Opportunities to experience the traditional culture of Cape Breton Island include guided walks, hikes, and workshops.

You can see the full schedule of events on their website.
