Fatal Collision in Bridgewater

The Bridgewater Police Service has confirmed one person was killed in a motor vehicle collision that occurred Friday morning.

Police say the name of the deceased has not been released until the family can be notified but they did confirm the person killed was an adult woman.

Around 9 a.m. BPS responded to calls reporting a collision on LaHave Drive near the entrance to the South Shore Centre.

Upon arrival, they saw two cars involved in a crash, one of which sustained major damage to its front end.

The collision involved three adults. One adult woman and one adult man in the same vehicle were transported by EHS to South Shore Regional Hospital.

Shortly after arriving at SSRH, the woman was pronounced deceased. The driver and lone occupant of the other vehicle sustained no injuries.
