Fatal crash in Chester claims 30-year old’s life.

RCMP in Chester responded to a fatal single-vehicle collision on Tuesday night along Highway 329.

At approximately 10:30 p.m. they discovered that a vehicle with a lone occupant had crashed into the ditch.

Police believe the driver may have lost control while navigating a turn.

They have since confirmed the driver was a 30-year-old Chester man, but his name has not been released.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Tuesday most of the South Shore was hit by significant rainfall so it is possible road conditions played a factor.

RCMP had to close the highway for a few hours while they investigated but it has since reopened.
