The Father Christmas Festival kicks off with the ceremonial tree lighting at the bandstand in Mahone Bay tonight.
Chair of the organizing committee, Barbara Feeney, said dozens of volunteers have given generously of their time to create events full of imagination.
“The theme kind of evolves each year. But it still has the same philosophy of trying to share goodness,” said Feeney.
The Lutheran Church Bell Ringers will welcome Father Christmas during the tree lighting ceremony at 6:30 tonight.
Feeney reminds everyone that the Festival runs over this weekend and next.
