The province announced funding for several fire departments in Western Nova Scotia.
The departments will be able to purchase new emergency equipment.
This includes Shelburne County, where 6 departments will receive a combined 111-thousand dollars.
4 departments in Argyle are getting over 54-thousand dollars.
In Lunenburg, 5 departments were granted over 100-thousand dollars.
In total the province gave out 1.5 million dollars to benefit 80 fire departments across Nova Scotia.
