Fire destroys floating dock on LaHave, property damaged at Shipyard Shindig

Bridgewater Police are looking for information after fire destroyed a floating dock on the LaHave River and property damaged at Shipyards Landing over the weekend.

Police say they were called to the scene around 3:30 a.m., Sunday where they saw the floating dock on fire.

They put it out quickly, but it had extensive damage.

While on the call, emergency responders noticed property had been damaged where the Shipyard Shindig was.

In addition to that, a portable toilet had also been lit on fire in the south end of the community near Woodland Gardens and the DesBrisay Museum.
