First ticket punched at Curling Pre-Trials in Liverpool

The first ticket has been punched at the Home Hardware Curling Pre-Trials in Liverpool.

In last night’s Women’s A Qualifier Krista McCarville of Thunder Bay came back from a four-point deficit to beat Jacqueline Harrison 9-6 to earn a trip to the Roar of the Rings in Saskatoon next month.

The other women’s berth will be decided this afternoon.

Sheri Anderson, Corryn Brown, and Jacqueline Harrison are still in the hunt.

On the men’s side Nova Scotia’s Paul Flemming was eliminated after a 9-4 loss to Pat Simmons.

Meantime Jason Gunnlaugson faces Tanner Horgan in the A qualifier. Glenn Howard is also still alive.

Draws are slated for 9, 2, and 7:30 today at Queens Place Emera Centre and will be shown on TSN.
