Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital’s emergency department will be adjusting its hours in response to medical staff availability.
Through September 8-12 the ER will only be open from 7:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. resuming regular service on Monday, September 13.
The ER typically operates from 7:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. but in recent months those hours have often been cut due to a lack of staff to man ER shifts.
If you live in the service area of Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital and require emergency medical care during the closures it’s asked that you call 911, for non-emergency situations you can call 811 to speak with a registered nurse.
