Fishermen’s Memorial ER Running On Reduced Hours

Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital will be reducing the hours of their Emergency Room for the next five days.

Starting on Saturday, August 21 the ER will be closing daily at 1:00 p.m., normal hours of operation will resume on August 26.

Through that period the ER will open at its normal time of 7:30 a.m.

Nova Scotia Health says the change in schedule is a result of physician unavailability.

Anyone requiring emergency medical care during the closure is asked to call 911, or for non-emergency medical concerns, you can call 811 to speak with a registered nurse.
