Former IWK CEO to be sentenced Jan. 6 in fraud case

The former head of the IWK children’s hospital will be sentenced on Jan. 6.

In 2022, former CEO Tracy Kitch was found guilty of using the company credit card for personal payments and flights.

But the appeals board overturned the verdict in 2023 because of errors made by a judge.

On Aug. 29, a new judge ruled on the retrial and found Kitch was guilty again.

According to reports, Tracy Kitch appeared in court yesterday to set a sentencing date.

While she was head of the IWK, Kitch fraudulently spent more than $30,000 dollars of hospital money.
