Gas drops 9.8 cents, diesel 17.6 cents

Some much-needed relief at the pumps.

The Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board once again used its interrupter Saturday morning to change the price of fuel.

Gas is down 9.8 cents a litre and diesel dropped 17.6 cents.

Gas prices range from 172.3 cents a litre in Halifax to 176.7 cents a litre in Cape Breton.

Diesel prices are between 182.1 cents a litre in Halifax and 186.4 cents a litre in Cape Breton.

Fuel prices have been on a rollercoaster as Russia is battered by sanctions for its ongoing invasion of Ukraine.

Prices dropped when OPEC signaled a boost in production this week, in an attempt to stabilize the price of fuel.
