Gas under a Toonie for the first time since May after big drop

Gas and diesel is under two bucks per litre for the first time since May.

The price dropped about 10 cents overnight after the gas regulator used its interrupter clause.

Regular is $1.92 in Halifax, while it’s selling around $1.95 in parts of Cape Breton.

Diesel is going for $1.95 or more, but it’s under a Toonie at all pumps in our province.

The price has been reaching record levels for months due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
