Police are investigating a possible homicide in Halifax.
A 40-year-old woman was found lying on the road near Gottingen and Bloomfield Street.
Paramedics tried to help the woman but she later died in hospital.
Police did not reveal her name or say what kind of injuries she had, but are calling the death suspicious.
The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service is conducting an autopsy to determine cause of death.
The investigation is in the early stages and more information will be provided when it becomes available.
