Fire crews continue to battle a forest fire in Hassett, Digby County.
As of last night, the fire was being held at 111 hectares, and was 65 percent contained.
The Department of Natural Resources says over 30 of their staff, 22 volunteer firefighters and a helicopter worked until dark.
They’ll be back at it this morning.
The department says they’ll provide another update later this morning.
I stopped in Hassett yesterday with @jillbalser to thank the volunteer fire fighters and Natural Resources & Renewables staff who are working hard to contain the wildfire in the area. Stay safe.
