The Canadian Mint has introduced a new loonie featuring King Charles III, marking the first change in the monarch’s portrait on Canadian coins in 70 years. This new coin, released on November 14, 2023, replaces the image of Queen Elizabeth II.

I was recently gifted a Anne If Green Gables themed coin that features Lucy Maud Montgomery, and her famous character on one side And King Charles, the second on the other!
